Kodak Alaris는 2025년 1월부터 필름과 일회용 카메라 가격을 5~8% 인상한다고 발표했습니다. 주요 소비자용 필름은 ColorPlus, UltraMax, Gold 등이 포함됩니다. 전문 필름 Portra는 5% 상승하며, Gold 200 120은 30% 오릅니다. 반면, Ektar 120은 8% 하락하고, Tri-X 흑백 필름(35mm)은 최대 27% 인하됩니다. T-Max와 Tri-X 120 필름은 20% 이상 인상됩니다. 제조 공장 개선으로 필름 생산은 일시 중단되었으나 공급량은 유지됩니다. 실제 국내 소비자가격이 변동될 지는 아직 불분명합니다.

Kodak Alaris announces price rises for January 2025 – but Tri-X is getting cheaper

 

Kodak Alaris has announced a price increase to its range of films and single-use cameras which will take effect on 1 January 2025.

In contrast to previous price increases, the majority of price increases will under 10%, with most falling between 5% and 8%.

However a few films will see larger rises, and some will see sizeable price reductions.

Kosmo Foto has seen the new price increase from a European distributor which shows prices of consumer colour films such as ColorPlus, UltraMax and Gold rising by around 8%, including for multi-packs of two and three rolls.

Professional films, such as the Portra range of colour negative films, appear to be increasing by just 5%.

The biggest increase is to Gold 200 120 film – which was released in March 2022 – which is rising by 30% for a five-pack. However, this film was heavily discounted a year ago so the price rise will likely bring it back to its pre-reduction price.

Kodak Ektar 120, however, is falling in price by 8%.

The most drastic reduction, however, is for 35mm Tri-X black-and-white film. A 24-frame roll is falling by 27% and a 36-frame roll is falling by 21%. This is the second price reduction Tri-X has seen in the last year.

Both T-Max and Tri-X 120 films are rising, with the price of T-Max 100 and Tri-X rising by more than 20%.

Film shooters should note that the price rises are wholesale increases, and retail price rises may not always reflect these changes.

The prices rises come after Eastman Kodak, the makers of Kodak-branded photographic films, announced that it was pausing film production during November in order to make improvements to the film manufacturing plant.

Stocks of film, however, are not expected to be affected because production was increased in the past few months to maintain supply.

Last year, Eastman Kodak said it was committed to maintaining film production as long as there was demand from photographers and the movie industry.
